What is the ChatGPT scheduled tasks limit on each plan?

The limit counts active tasks, the ones that are scheduled and not paused. Paused tasks don't count, and neither do tasks that have finished. When you hit the cap, ChatGPT asks you to pause or delete one before you create or resume another.

Can you get around the limit without paying more?

Often, yes. Before you change plans, try these in ChatGPT:

1. Merge tasks that run at the same time. "Every weekday at 8am, check competitor pricing pages, summarize my industry news and list today's calendar conflicts" is one task, not three.
2. Pause seasonal tasks. A paused task doesn't count toward the limit, and you can resume it later.
3. Delete one-off reminders you no longer need. Old test tasks take up slots too.

Merging has a cost. One long task gives you one long answer, and if one part fails, you read the whole thing to spot it. It also mixes jobs that belong to different people or projects. When you're merging unrelated jobs just to stay under 5, you've outgrown the plan.

Is ChatGPT Pro worth it just for more scheduled tasks?

For most people, no. Pro is 100 a month for the lower tier, and it takes you from 5 tasks to 15. You're paying for 5x Plus usage and OpenAI's top models, and more task slots come along with that. If you already need that usage, the extra tasks are a bonus. If tasks are the reason you're upgrading, you'd pay 960 more a year than Plus to get 10 more slots.

ChatGPT Business doubles the limit to 10, but it's a team plan with a two-seat minimum. For a solo founder, that's $50 a month billed monthly for one person's extra 5 tasks.

What does a ChatGPT scheduled tasks limit alternative need to do?

If you're looking elsewhere, check four things. They're where the cheap options usually fall short:

• Runs without you. The task should keep going after you close the app or turn off your laptop.
• Tells you when it's done. A push notification, not a tab you have to remember to check.
• Uses real tools. Web search at the least, and ideally files and the apps you work in.
• Asks before it acts. Anything that sends, edits or posts on your behalf should wait for your OK.

Say you run a small company and want three recurring jobs off your plate:

1. In Cloud, open Schedules and choose New schedule.

When should you stay with ChatGPT?
