Every top model, with tools built in.
Search the web, run deep research, read files, create images and run code with GPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok and more.
On Notion Plus, Notion AI is only a trial. Full AI needs Business at $20 a member. Here's a cheaper way to read and update your Notion with Claude or GPT.
If your team is on Notion Plus, you don't get full Notion AI. As of October 2026, Notion's pricing page lists AI on Free and Plus only as a trial, and the full assistant (Notion Agent, AI Meeting Notes, Enterprise Search) starts at the Business plan, 20 per member per month billed yearly instead of 10. The practical Notion AI alternative for Notion Plus plan users is to stay on Plus and connect an outside AI assistant to your workspace through Notion's own connector, so it can search, read and update your pages.
Zemith is that assistant, with more than one model behind it. Zemith Plus is $15.99 a month per person, and its Notion plugin lets Claude, GPT, Gemini or Grok search your workspace, summarize pages, create new ones and update existing ones from a chat. Reads run freely. Every write shows you what it's about to do and waits for your approval. You only pay for the people who actually want AI, not for every member of the Notion workspace.
10 per member per month billed yearly and Business is 20. On Free and Plus, Notion AI is a limited trial; Business adds Notion Agent, AI Meeting Notes and Enterprise Search.50 a month on yearly billing (600 a year), even if only two people use AI.Prices in USD as of October 2, 2026. Notion prices are per member; the others are per person who uses them.

A trial. Notion's pricing page describes Free and Plus as "Trial AI capabilities like generating docs, or autofilling databases", and its AI FAQ says those plans get "a limited number of complimentary AI responses". Once those run out, the plan Notion's pricing page offers for full AI is Business.
That's a reasonable product decision for Notion, but it hits a specific kind of team hard: a small Plus workspace where one or two people want AI help with docs every day and everyone else just reads and edits pages.
Notion charges the plan price for every member, so the AI upgrade is priced by headcount, not by who uses it. Here's the yearly-billing math with Notion's listed prices (10 Plus, 20 Business):
50 a month more than Plus, 600 a year. Two Zemith Plus subscriptions cost 31.98 a month, or 359.76 a year on yearly plans.100 a month, 1,200 a year. Three Zemith Plus subscriptions cost 47.97 a month, or 539.64 a year.If most of your workspace would use Notion AI daily, the comparison flips: Business includes AI for everyone, plus AI Meeting Notes and Enterprise Search, and it's the simpler choice. The alternative only wins when AI use is concentrated in a few people.
Yes. Notion runs a hosted MCP server, and its help center says any AI app that supports the Model Context Protocol can connect to it. Claude (Anthropic) is one of the apps Notion lists, and Notion's server includes tools to search, read, create and update pages; Claude's pricing page lists connectors on its plans. OpenAI's help article on the Notion app says ChatGPT can search and read your Notion content, and that creating or updating pages depends on the app, your permissions and your workspace settings.
So the real question isn't whether an outside assistant can work with Notion. It's which one you want to pay for. Claude Pro at 20 is a good pick if you only want Claude. ChatGPT Plus at 20 is fine if you mostly read and search. Zemith costs $15.99 and puts Claude, GPT, Gemini and Grok behind the same Notion connection, with the same approval rules for every model.
You pay for users, not members. The people who want AI subscribe; the rest of the workspace stays on Plus. That's the money.
Writes never surprise you. Zemith's Notion plugin reads pages, databases and comments without asking. Creating pages, updating pages, moving or duplicating them, commenting and building views each show an approval first. For everyday actions such as "Create pages", "Update pages" and "Comment on pages", you can choose Always allow, and you can switch any of them back to asking from the plugin's settings. Changing a database's structure always asks.
Pick the model for the job. On Plus you can draft in Claude 5.5 Sonnet, check facts against the web in Gemini 3.1 Pro, and switch models in the middle of the same chat. The connection to Notion doesn't change when you switch.
Your other tools are on the same plan. If your team also tracks work in Linear or Airtable, or lives in Outlook and OneDrive, those are plugins on the same subscription, with the same approval rules. Read more on Zemith's agent and plugins and how it fits product managers.
Here's one way a product lead on a Notion Plus workspace could use it:
If you write the same update every week, save the instructions as a skill. Zemith includes a starter Weekly update skill you can customize.
And if you only ever want Claude, Claude Pro with Notion's connector does the job for $20 a month. For a direct comparison of the two products, see Zemith vs Claude.
On October 2, 2026, we checked plan prices and AI access on Notion's pricing page and Notion AI FAQ, connector support on Notion's MCP help page, and Claude Pro pricing on claude.com/pricing. Notion's page shows yearly prices by default, so we quote those; third-party guides we found disagreed with Notion's own figures, so we didn't use them. OpenAI's help center returned "403 Forbidden" to automated access, so the ChatGPT Notion app details come from the search-indexed text of OpenAI's article, and the $20 ChatGPT Plus price from Suprmind's price tracker. Zemith's Notion tools, approval rules and plan requirements were checked in Zemith's code. We compared published pricing and documentation; we didn't benchmark output quality.
If your team is on Notion Plus and only a few people want AI, don't upgrade the whole workspace to Business to get it. Give those people Zemith Plus at $15.99 a month: they get Claude, GPT and Gemini working directly on your Notion pages, with every write shown for approval first. Upgrade to Business instead when most of the team wants AI inside the editor, or needs AI Meeting Notes and Enterprise Search.
