StudyFetch Alternative With Claude and Gemini (2026)

A StudyFetch alternative that turns lecture PDFs into flashcards, quizzes and podcasts, with Claude and Gemini in the same app. Prices and limits.

Kevin·

The best StudyFetch alternative depends on what else you pay for. If all you need is flashcards, quizzes and audio from your lecture files, Gemini Notebook (Google, formerly NotebookLM) does that for free with daily caps. If you also pay $20 a month for ChatGPT Plus or Claude Pro (Anthropic) to explain things and help you write, a study app that includes Claude and Gemini replaces both bills, and that costs less than StudyFetch Premium plus a chatbot.

That second app is what we'd pick, and it's ours. **Zemith Plus is 15.99 a month** (179.88 a year). You get a Library Project that holds up to 50 sources (lecture PDFs, slides, Word files, EPUBs, web pages and YouTube links), and from them it makes flashcards, quizzes, a study guide, a mind map, an infographic, an audio podcast and a live phone call you can talk through. The chat next to your sources runs on Claude 5.5 Sonnet, Gemini 3.1 Pro, Grok and other models you switch between, and the same plan covers web search, essay help and Word or PowerPoint files, on web, iOS and Android.

TL;DR

  • StudyFetch Premium is 11.99 a month and Base is 7.99 as of October 2026 (third-party price checks; StudyFetch's own pricing page didn't load). Premium adds unlimited flashcard sets, the Live Lecture Assistant and web search.
  • Gemini Notebook is free with 50 sources per notebook, 10 flashcard sets and 10 quizzes a day, and 3 Audio Overviews a day. It only uses Google's Gemini models.
  • Zemith Plus is $15.99 a month with 50 sources per Project, flashcards, quizzes, podcast, mind map and a live phone call, plus Claude, Gemini and Grok for everything else.
  • StudyFetch Premium plus ChatGPT Plus is 31.99 a month, or 383.88 a year. Zemith Plus yearly is $179.88.
  • Pick StudyFetch if you want a live in-class recorder. Zemith only transcribes uploaded recordings up to 25 MB.

Sources: StudyFetch prices from FrontDesk Review's StudyFetch pricing check (verified September 2026), because studyfetch.com/pricing returned a 404 and the checkout pages blocked us; plan features from the plan descriptions served on studyfetch.com; Gemini Notebook source limits from Google's upgrade page and daily study limits from UW-Madison's Gemini Notebook guide (updated July 2026); Zemith plans on the pricing page.

StudyFetch's own checkout copy says yearly billing saves 36 on Base and 48 on Premium. That matches reviews quoting 4.99 and 7.99 a month billed yearly, but FrontDesk Review notes that sources disagree on annual pricing, so treat those two figures as approximate.

Is StudyFetch worth it if you already pay for ChatGPT?

Probably not both. Most students who use StudyFetch also keep a general chatbot for explaining concepts, outlining essays and checking work, and that's usually ChatGPT Plus at 20 a month ([Suprmind's price tracker](https://suprmind.ai/hub/chatgpt/pricing/chatgpt-plus-price/), October 2026) or Claude Pro at 20 a month, $17 billed yearly (Claude pricing).

Here is the yearly math for that common pairing:

  • StudyFetch Premium monthly (11.99) plus ChatGPT Plus (20): $383.88 a year.
  • StudyFetch Premium on the reported yearly price (about 95.88) plus ChatGPT Plus: about 335.88 a year.
  • Zemith Plus billed yearly: 179.88. Monthly, it's 191.88.

So the saving is roughly 150 to 200 a year, and you study and chat in one place instead of copying notes between two apps. If you don't pay for a chatbot and never will, this math doesn't apply, and StudyFetch Base or Gemini Notebook is the cheaper choice.

What does a StudyFetch alternative with Claude actually change?

Three things, mostly.

You pick the model that explains it best. StudyFetch's plan pages don't name the model behind its tutor. In a Zemith Project you choose Claude 5.5 Sonnet for careful written explanations, Gemini 3.1 Pro for long readings, or Grok, and switch mid-chat if an answer doesn't click. The answers stay grounded in the files you uploaded. More on how that works on the chat with PDF page.

You get more kinds of study material from one upload. Flashcards and quizzes are the basics. A Project also makes a mind map of the topic, an infographic, a summary, and a report in briefing, study guide or blog post format. The podcast turns a chapter into audio for the commute, and the phone call lets you talk through the material out loud the night before an exam.

Everything else you used ChatGPT for is on the same plan. Web search with cited sources, Word and PowerPoint files from a chat, and deep research for a term paper all come with Plus. The Zemith for students page shows the rest of that toolkit.

A week of revision, step by step

Say you have an exam on Friday covering six lectures.

  1. In Library, create a Project called "Econ 101 midterm" and upload the six lecture PDFs, the slide decks (PPTX) and the reading list as web links. Add the recorded review session as a YouTube link if it's public (web page and YouTube sources are in beta).
  2. Add project instructions: "I'm a first-year student. Explain with the examples from these lectures, and tell me which lecture each answer comes from."
  3. Ask Claude 5.5 Sonnet: "What's the difference between price elasticity and income elasticity, using the examples from lecture 4?" If it's too dense, switch to Gemini 3.1 Pro and ask again.
  4. Open Studio and pick Flashcards for the definitions, then Quiz for practice questions. Pick Report, then Study guide, for a one-page summary of all six lectures.
  5. Generate a Podcast of the two hardest lectures and listen on the way to campus.
  6. The night before, start a Phone call and talk through the topics you keep missing.

If a lecture only exists as audio, upload the recording to Zemith's transcription tool first (up to 25 MB, 800 credits per started minute, so a 50-minute lecture costs 40,000 of your 1.5 million monthly credits), then add the transcript to the Project.

When should you stick with StudyFetch or pick something else?

  • You want class recorded live. StudyFetch Premium's Live Lecture Assistant records and takes notes during the lecture. Zemith has no in-class recorder, and its transcription takes uploaded files up to 25 MB.
  • You only need flashcards and quizzes, cheaply. StudyFetch Base at $7.99 or Gemini Notebook for free covers that. Zemith's free plan is chat only, though the free document to quiz tool has daily free uses if you want to try the quiz output first.
  • You live in Google's apps. Gemini Notebook links with the Gemini app and your Google account, and its free tier is generous.
  • You want Claude Opus. It's on Zemith Professional ($29.99) for chat, but not in Library Projects.

How we compared

We checked StudyFetch's plans on October 6, 2026, using the plan descriptions served on studyfetch.com and a third-party pricing check from September 2026, because StudyFetch's pricing page returned a 404 and its checkout pages blocked our requests. Gemini Notebook limits come from Google's help center and a university IT guide, and ChatGPT Plus and Claude Pro prices from a price tracker and claude.com. Zemith's plans, models and Library features were checked against the product's code the same day. We didn't run any benchmarks.

Bottom line

If StudyFetch is the only AI you pay for, keep it, or try Gemini Notebook for free. If you're paying for StudyFetch and ChatGPT or Claude, switch both to Zemith Plus: $15.99 a month gets you the flashcards, quizzes, podcasts and phone call from your own lecture files, and Claude and Gemini for everything else, for less than the two subscriptions together.
