A QuillBot Premium alternative for writers who also pay for Claude or ChatGPT: rewrite, fix grammar and edit whole Word files in one plan. Prices compared.
The best QuillBot Premium alternative depends on whether you also pay for a chatbot. If QuillBot is your only writing tool and you use its plagiarism checker, keep it: 99.95 a year is hard to beat. If you also pay 20 a month for Claude Pro (Anthropic) or ChatGPT Plus to draft and rework longer pieces, one app with Claude built in can do QuillBot's rewriting and the chatbot's job for less than the two together.
That one app is what we'd recommend, and it's ours. **Zemith Plus is 15.99 a month** (179.88 a year). For a writer, it means Claude 5.5 Sonnet, Gemini 3.1 Pro and GPT in one chat, so you can paste a draft or upload a Word file and get it back rewritten, shortened or in a different tone. You also get a notes editor with one-click Improve writing, Fix grammar, Make shorter and Simplify, plus free rewriter and humanizer tools. The plan works on web, iOS and Android.
19.95 a month, 39.95 a quarter or $99.95 a year as of October 2026 (third-party price checks; quillbot.com blocked our requests). It adds unlimited paraphrasing, 9 modes, a 6,000-word summarizer and a 25,000-word monthly plagiarism check.39.95 a month. Zemith Plus is 15.99 a month and covers rewriting and a full Claude chat.99.95) plus Claude Pro (200) is 299.95 a year, against 179.88 for Zemith Plus.Plans as of October 7, 2026, in US dollars:

Sources: QuillBot prices from RewritePal's QuillBot Premium check (prices as of September 27, 2026) and eesel AI's QuillBot pricing guide, because quillbot.com returned 403 to our requests; Grammarly plans and Claude pricing, checked October 7, 2026; Zemith on the pricing page.
QuillBot has also advertised a first-year discount of about 49.95 for the annual plan since mid-2026, according to the same third-party checks. It returns to 99.95 after year one, so the comparison below uses the list price.
For most writers, not both. QuillBot is a rewriting tool: you bring finished text and it rephrases, fixes or summarizes it. Claude Pro, or ChatGPT Plus at $20 a month (Suprmind's price tracker, October 2026), already does that when you ask, and it also drafts, outlines, argues with you about structure and reads whole documents. Paying for both means paying twice for the rewriting part.
The yearly math for that common pairing:
19.95) plus Claude Pro monthly (20): $479.40 a year.99.95) plus Claude Pro yearly (200): $299.95 a year.179.88. Monthly, it's 191.88.So the saving runs from about 120 to about 300 a year, depending on how you bill. If you don't pay for a chatbot and only paraphrase short passages, the math flips: QuillBot's yearly plan alone is cheaper than Zemith.
Mostly, it handles the whole piece instead of a paragraph at a time.
Rewrite a full document, not 125 words. QuillBot's free paraphraser stops at 125 words, and even Premium's summarizer caps at 6,000. In a Zemith chat you can upload a Word file and ask Claude 5.5 Sonnet for a specific edit: "cut this to 1,500 words, keep the headings, make the intro less formal." Zemith works on the file in a cloud sandbox and returns a .docx in the chat's Files panel. It can also mark its edits as tracked changes, so you accept or reject each one in Word.
Say what you want in plain words. QuillBot gives you modes (Standard, Fluency, Formal and so on). A chat lets you describe the job: match the voice of an earlier post, keep British spelling, don't touch the quotes. If Claude's version is too polished, switch to Gemini 3.1 Pro or GPT in the same chat and compare.
Keep quick fixes one click away. For short edits, the notes editor has Improve writing, Fix grammar, Make shorter, Make longer, Simplify and a TL;DR action on any selection, and you can type your own instruction instead. Those actions run on a fast built-in model, not the one you pick in chat, so use chat for the edits that need Claude's judgment.
Free tools for the paraphrase job. The free AI Rewriter rephrases a passage in 16 preset tones, from Formal and Academic to Persuasive, or a custom tone you describe, with Improve, Fix grammar, Shorter and Longer options. The Humanize AI tool loosens stiff AI-sounding drafts so they read more naturally.
Say you're a freelance writer with a 3,000-word draft that's too long and too stiff.
On credits: Claude 5.5 Sonnet costs 46 credits per 100 input tokens and 226 per 100 output tokens. A 3,000-word draft is roughly 4,000 tokens each way, so one full pass is around 11,000 credits plus some overhead for the file work. Plus includes 1.5 million credits a month, which is room for about a hundred passes like that. The writers page has more ways people use it.
Zemith isn't the right call for everyone. Pick something else if:
We compared the published pricing and plan features of QuillBot, Grammarly, Claude and Zemith on October 7, 2026. Grammarly and Claude prices come from their own pricing pages. QuillBot's pages returned 403 to our requests, so its prices and limits come from RewritePal (checked September 27, 2026) and eesel AI, which agree with each other. Zemith features and credit costs were checked against the product code the same day. We didn't run quality tests on rewrites.
If you pay for QuillBot Premium and a chatbot, you're paying twice for rewriting. Zemith Plus at $15.99 a month gives you Claude, Gemini and GPT in one chat, edits whole Word files with tracked changes, and keeps quick rewrites and grammar fixes a click away. Keep QuillBot or Grammarly only if a plagiarism report or an in-browser checker is part of your job.
