Manus Pro is $20 for 4,000 credits that reset monthly. Here's a $29.99 Manus alternative with background tasks, schedules and the top models in one plan.
The cheapest Manus plan is $20 a month for 4,000 credits, and the plan's credits reset every month instead of rolling over. By Manus's own examples, a quick data chart costs about 200 credits and a complex app build about 900, so $20 covers roughly 20 small tasks or 4 big ones. That is fine if you run Manus now and then. It gets awkward when you want agents working on a schedule every week.
If that's your situation, the Manus alternative we'd pick is ours. Zemith Professional is $29.99 a month ($299.88 a year, or $24.99 a month) and includes Cloud: you hand a task to an agent, close the app, and get a push notification when it's done. You can schedule tasks once, daily or weekly, and choose Claude, GPT, Gemini or Grok for each one. The 3 million monthly credits that pay for the work are the same ones you use for chat, deep research and images.
Plans and prices as of October 25, 2026, in US dollars:
| Price | Agent credits | Concurrent tasks | Scheduled tasks | Models you pick | Also included | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Zemith Professional | $29.99/mo or $299.88/yr | 3M a month, shared with chat | 3 active | Once, daily or weekly, up to 35 | Claude, GPT, Gemini, Grok and others, per task | Chat, deep research, images and video, Word, Excel and PowerPoint files, mobile apps |
| Manus Pro | $20/mo | 4,000 a month | 20 | 20 | Not listed | Slides, websites, Wide Research |
| Manus ($40 tier) | $40/mo | 8,000 a month | 20 | 20 | Not listed | Same as above |
| Claude Pro (Anthropic) | $20/mo, or $17/mo billed yearly | Usage limits, no credits | Not listed | "Hand off and schedule tasks" | Claude only | Projects, Claude Code, Claude in Chrome |

It's worth it if your jobs are occasional and big, and you value that Manus builds things end to end. It is harder to budget if you want something running every week, because Manus says credits are used only during active processing and its help center says it can't reliably tell you a task's cost in advance.
Manus's own examples give a feel for the scale: a 15-minute chart task used 200 credits, a 25-minute webpage 360, and an 80-minute app 900. On the $20 plan, that's about $1 for the chart and $4.50 for the app, as simple arithmetic on 4,000 credits. Monthly credits reset on your subscription date, and purchased add-on credits only stay valid while you have a paid plan, according to Manus's credit rules.
The heavier tiers scale linearly: $40 for 8,000 credits and $200 for 40,000. If one big job a week is your pattern, you will likely end up on the $40 tier.
Zemith Cloud tasks draw on the same monthly credits as chat, priced by the model and tools the task uses. Claude 5.5 Sonnet costs 46 credits per 100 input tokens, 226 per 100 output tokens and 5 per 100 cached input tokens, and each web search is 400 credits (Zemith's price lists, October 2026).
Here is an assumed example, not a measurement. A weekly competitor check that runs 6 searches, reads 60,000 new tokens of pages, reuses 200,000 tokens of cached context and writes an 8,000-token report comes to about 58,000 credits:
Professional's 3 million credits would cover about 50 tasks of that size in a month if you used nothing else. Real tasks vary a lot with the pages read and the model you pick, and tasks that run code also pay for sandbox time. This isn't a like-for-like comparison with Manus's credits, which measure different work. If the balance runs out, a task pauses with its progress saved, and top-ups start at $10 for 800,000 credits.
It's a smaller agent with a fixed monthly bill and a model you choose. In Cloud you click New task, describe the job, pick the model and close the app. The agent works in the background and sends a push notification (and an in-app entry) when it finishes, fails or needs your approval. You can send follow-up instructions while it runs, and turn any task into a schedule with New schedule.
Each task can search the web, read pages, run code and build files in a cloud sandbox, make images and use your connected apps: Notion, Linear, Airtable, Canva and Microsoft 365. Writes to those apps pause the task and ask first, unless you've chosen to always allow that action. Cloud Projects hold their own instructions and optional memory, so a Monday task gets the same brief every week. See the AI agent feature page for the full list.
Say you're a founder who wants a Monday briefing on three competitors.
What changes for you: a recurring job stops being something you remember to do, and the cost comes out of a plan you already pay for. More on how this fits solo operators on Zemith for founders.
Not against Manus alone: $20 is less than $29.99. It is cheaper once you count what people usually pay for next to Manus. Many Manus users also keep ChatGPT Plus and Claude Pro for everyday chat, at about $20 a month each.
| Stack | Per month | Per year |
|---|---|---|
| Manus Pro + ChatGPT Plus + Claude Pro | about $60 | about $720 |
| Zemith Professional | $29.99 | $299.88 on the yearly plan |
The difference is about $420 a year, and the Zemith number includes chat with Claude, GPT, Gemini and Grok, deep research, images and video. ChatGPT Plus is roughly $20 a month, the figure we used in ChatGPT Go vs Plus. Manus also faces the same agent-credit question we covered in our Perplexity Computer comparison. What you give up: ChatGPT's Codex and Work, Claude Code, and Manus's own website builder.
Stay if you want an agent that builds and deploys websites, or if you rely on Wide Research to fan one question out across many sources. Zemith doesn't host websites, and its Cloud has no deep research (deep research runs in chat and costs 100,000 credits a run).
Stay if you want to run many tasks at once: Manus lists 20 concurrent tasks, while Zemith Cloud runs 3 active tasks. Zemith's Computer is a headless sandbox, so you can't watch or take over a browser, and each run is capped at five hours. Cloud is also Professional only: the $15.99 Plus plan doesn't include it, and it notifies by push and in the app, not by email.
If you mostly need Claude and scheduled tasks and nothing else, Claude Pro at $20 lists "Hand off and schedule tasks" and is cheaper than either.
On October 25, 2026, we read Manus's pricing page and help center for plans, credits and examples, and Anthropic's Claude pricing page. Zemith's Cloud features, plan access and credit rates come from its product code and pricing page the same day. The credit example is arithmetic from published rates for an assumed task, and we didn't benchmark agent quality or run the same job on both products.
Manus is a capable agent, but on Pro you pay per task from 4,000 credits that don't carry over, and it's hard to know the cost before you start. If you want background and scheduled tasks for research, reports and files at a known monthly price, with Claude, GPT and Gemini in the same plan, Zemith Professional at $29.99 is the Manus alternative we'd choose.
